Despite the economic condition of the country, car thefts have continued to decrease over the years. Even with the decreasing numbers, we should still do everything possible to improve this trend. Recent studies from the National Insurance Crime Bureau show a recent trend in later model cars that have been stolen. This is partially due to technological advances in vehicle anti-theft devices. The following are our 2013 predictions for the most frequently stolen cars based on the most recently available statistics. Check out our list below and see if your vehicle is on the list.
10. Nissan Sentra

Reasoning Toward Findings
We feel that the top stolen cars in 2013 will be very similar to those in previous years. This is due to the increased sophistication in newer vehicles security, causing thieves to update their methods of theft. Although these later model vehicles are becoming increasingly more popular among thieves, as they gain more advanced ways around the system we may see an increase in newer models from the list above.
We feel that the Honda Accord and Honda Civic will still stay at the top of the list due to their increasingly high demand.
These vehicles have a reputation for being reliable, safe and a getting great gas mileage making them the prime candidates for car thieves.

A recent study from the National Insurance Crime Bureau shows that car thieves stay busy on the holidays with New Years Day and Halloween being above the daily average for the busiest holidays for car thieves.
