AAA car insurance may cost a little more than other traditional insurance companies. The Insurance Information Institute says that the average annual cost of car insurance in 2017 (the last study year) was $1,004. It’s most popular among people who have been members of their club before. These insured drivers trust the name and move forward accordingly.

AAA offers a limited variety of coverage options, and there are also car insurance discounts AAA offers such as those for safe drivers and bundled policies. If you have a clean driving record, you can count on better rates. Insurance from Ameriprise Financial Services can appeal to the same instinct in many drivers. They know the Ameriprise name, and they are willing to pay more to enjoy that level of trust for their insurance company.

AAA auto insurance options often vary between the different clubs. So you will have to check with your local motor club for specific details.

What can you expect from the AAA or Ameriprise apps?

Both AAA and CONNECT offer mobile apps to their customers, and the apps offer many of the same benefits.

Using a AAA login with the mobile app will give customers the ability to request roadside assistance straight from a smartphone. AAA also offers their TourBook&Guides, which provide travel information on various destinations. It has everything needed for the American family road trip.

Using an Ameriprise Financial Services login on the MyAmFam app is very similar to AAA.

The app allows customers to make payments, view the status of one or more claims, and contact customer service with questions or concerns. And customers can also get immediate roadside assistance.

What can you expect from AAA vs. Ameriprise auto insurance ratings?

Every AAA motor club is its own entity. But virtually all of the individual clubs boast an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau.

American Family Insurance has a very good rating (A) with BBB as well, but customers have given it only 1.14 out of 5 stars when it comes to overall customer satisfaction.
