- GeoVera does not offer car insurance
- They provide earthquake insurance policies to earthquake-prone regions
- They are rated strong financially
This insurance review is going to be a disappointment to some of you because GeoVera Insurance doesn’t sell car insurance. However, that doesn’t mean you still can’t find savings on car insurance.
In fact, this BBB (Better Business Bureau) accredited company only sells residential earthquake insurance.
GeoVera Insurance was founded in 1995 as F&G Specialty Insurance services.
Initially, they only sold insurance in California, but today they sell residential earthquake insurance in California, Oregon, and Washington.
More About GeoVera Insurance
Interestingly, you will find GeoVera offices in Fairfield, CA, Sheboygan, WI and Tallahassee, FL, which means they have offices in two states where they don’t even sell insurance products. And again, no car insurance in any of these states.
You can purchase insurance by calling them directly or through an independent agent that is licensed to sell GeoVera insurance.
GeoVera has a financial rating of A- with a long-term outlook of positive.
Their BBB rating is A- and they have had 14 complaints filed against them in the last three years. Of those 14 complaints, eight were resolved and six were not. GeoVera hasn’t been the recipient of any lawsuits or government actions.
The biggest problem that you are going to face if you are looking for car insurance companies is that GeoVera just doesn’t sell this type of insurance. This makes them the wrong choice for car insurance. However, they are a good choice for people looking for earthquake insurance.
