What is Nationwide’s history?

Nationwide insurance grew from a small group of Farm Bureaus in the 1920s and steadily grew into one the largest and most recognizable financial organizations in the country.

Operating in all 50 states, Nationwide’s services have grown over the last eight decades.

The now include full-service banking with online account access and money management, retirement and wealth management, and investment services.

Nationwide has shown stability, reliability and even growth during some of the toughest economic times in recent history.

Where does Liberty Mutual rank for car insurance?

Liberty Mutual also has its roots in modest beginnings originating in 1912 as the Massachusetts Employee’s Insurance Association or MEIA.

It began as a mutual company held by the policyholders and by 1914 the MEIA had grown to open its first branch office and began issuing auto policies.

By 1917 the organization had changed the name to Liberty Mutual and started working with United Mutual Fire Insurance to offer complete auto coverage and public liability insurance.

Liberty Mutual was one of the first major insurance companies to embark on a campaign of loss prevention through pioneering safety and training media to driver’s education and workplace safety.

Since then Liberty Mutual has continued to grow and expand its range of services to include investments and other financial services until in 2001 Liberty Mutual sold its financial services and renewed all of their focus to property and casualty protection.

Liberty Mutual or Nationwide?

Is Liberty Mutual any good? Does Nationwide beat it in the car insurance game? It’s hard to say. Both organizations have a great reputation and an extremely high customer satisfaction rating.

Liberty Mutual does not have the number of customers that Nationwide does due to the fact that Nationwide offers a wider range of services, but Liberty Mutual is no small company by any means.

They offer services in every one of the United States as well as on five separate continents and they have been operating ten years longer Nationwide.

The major difference between the two organizations is the additional financial services offered by Nationwide.
