Learning About PURE Insurance
PURE started in Florida in response to the devastating hurricane seasons in 2006 that left many people homeless due to inadequate flood and hurricane coverage on their homes.
They have since expanded to offer other insurance plans like:
- Private fleet insurance
- Watercraft insurance
- Jewelry and art insurance
- Personal excess liability insurance
Their homeowner’s insurance options are only for high-value homes.
PURE is a different type of insurance company in that it requires its policyholders to contribute surplus capital to the company during the first five years as a customer.
By doing this, the customer is creating a personal stake in the company’s success.
PURE then invests the surplus capital of its customers resulting in financial growth and return for the insured.
Though return is not guaranteed, surplus contributions keep premiums low and when returns are gained they are deposited into the insured’s Subscribers Savings Account.
Because of the type of insurance offered, PURE is very selective in whom it approves for insurance. They have a list of eligibility requirements including income standards, asset amounts, and successful family history.
