What American Professional Insurance Offers
At one time, American Professionals Insurance Co. became part of Highlands Insurance Group, but it never sold car insurance.
Unrelated to American Professionals Insurance Company, an insurance broker by the name of North American Professional Liability Insurance Agency opened its doors in 1998.
As a personal liability broker, North American Professional Liability Insurance Agency does not sell car insurance either.
In addition to American Professionals Insurance Company and Highlands Insurance, other companies that belonged to Highlands Insurance Group included State Capital Insurance and Statesman Insurance.
The latter two companies handled:
- Property and casualty insurance
- Commercial car insurance
- Personal car insurance
They also offered commercial multi-peril policies, general liability, homeowners insurance, inland marine, and workers’ compensation.
In 1998, Highlands Insurance Group had more than $100 million in assets, making it one of the largest insurance groups at the time. However, due to a large volume of asbestos claims, Highlands Insurance Group filed for bankruptcy in 2002.
Unrelated to Highlands Insurance Group, North American Professional Liability Insurance Agency began its business in 1998 but it did not become incorporated until 2004.
Headquartered in Massachusetts, North American Professional Liability Insurance Agency is accredited by the Better Business Bureau with an A+ rating.
In addition to selling professional liability insurance, they provide Errors and Omissions insurance nationwide and are still operating today.
