More About Medicus Insurance
Medicus is licensed to sell their insurance products in 27 states but only sell products in 19 of those states.
This is because they are waiting to incorporate the rules and regulations of those states into their company. In addition, they are waiting for regulatory approval for the rates that they wish to charge.
Medicus products are sold by independent agents, however, there are some states that there are no agents licensed to sell Medicus insurance. In this case, you can buy insurance directly through Medicus by contacting them via email or phone.
After it became part of NORCAL Mutual, Medicus received an A rating by A.M. Best. This doesn’t mean that Medicus isn’t financially sound, only that they never requested a rating and none of the rating companies sought them out prior to Medicus joining NORCAL.
Because Medicus doesn’t sell car insurance, you will not want to consider them when you are making your car insurance purchase.
