- They do not offer car insurance
- They are a holdings company
If you are looking for a car insurance review for Quanta Car Insurance, then you might be surprised to know that Quanta Insurance Group, or Quanta Capital Holdings Ltd., doesn’t actually offer car insurance.
In fact, Quanta Capital Holdings Ltd., was actually acquired by Catalina Alpha Ltd. in 2008.
No worries, though, if you are looking for car insurance because all you have to do is just enter your zip above and you can compare free rates from many different auto insurance companies!
What They Offer
The Quanta Insurance Group (and, now, Catalina Alpha) specialized in “specialty insurance,” as well as reinsurance and risk consultation for other groups.
What does this mean? It basically means that these companies provide insurance to insurance providers, and helps them assess their various risks.
Both Catalina Alpha and Quanta Capital Holdings Ltd. are Bermuda holding companies. Holding companies don’t exactly do anything in terms of providing products or services.
Instead, they hold shares in other companies in order to help those companies minimize their risks so that they can, in turn, sell more insurance policies.
They have operations in Bermuda, Ireland, the United Kingdom, and the United States, and specialize in writing coverage for various types of risks.
Now, while all this may be interesting, and while these companies are doing well and getting good reviews (with “A” ratings across the board, generally) this doesn’t really help you to find car insurance.
Your best bet is to probably to first research your local insurance providers and use our insurance quote tool to find out who offers good rates in your area and then research those providers.
