What Rockwood Offers
Rockwood is not an insurance company but rather an insurance agent and broker specialist.
This means that they assist insurance companies in underwriting and providing more options for clients as well as assist in the managing of policies.
Started in 1996, Rockwood Casualty was a subsidiary of E.W. Blanch but by 2000, Rockwood bought out E.W. Blanch to become an independent company.
They are licensed to sell insurance products in all 50 states and employ over 10,000 agents. Because they are a wholesale brokerage firm, they work with several other companies throughout the country as well.
- Agents – Rockwell offers assistance with employment practices liability, franchise EPLI, fiduciary liability, directors and officers EPLI, miscellaneous medical malpractice, optometrists E&O, and non-standard physicians and surgeons coverage
- Agencies – Rockwell also assists agencies with sponsored programs for an agency network and specializes in helping newly licensed agencies with less than three years of experience
In addition to assisting insurance agencies, Rockwood also provides insurance coverage to insurance agencies themselves.
This includes coverage for those who provide life, accident, and health, newly licensed agents, workplace marketers, and medical stop-loss agents.
This type of coverage is meant to protect the assets of the insurance company if they are sued, file for bankruptcy, or are not longer financially viable.
